Our mission
To educate Pakistani people about the science of sleep, sleep disorders, healthy sleep habits, and the link between sleep and overall health, through evidence-based information.
Why PSHI exists
Most sleep information online is written for people in other countries. It rarely covers the things that shape sleep here: Ramadan routines, load shedding, summer heat, long study nights, crowded city life and gaps in healthcare awareness.
PSHI brings trustworthy sleep science to Pakistani homes, in plain language, with examples from everyday life here, and with every article reviewed by medical professionals.
What we do
- Educate: clear guides on sleep science, sleep disorders and better sleep habits for every age.
- Research: surveys, sleep statistics and reports on how Pakistanis sleep.
- Raise awareness: seasonal campaigns on Ramadan sleep, student sleep and workplace sleep health.
- Connect (coming soon): a directory of sleep specialists in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar.
Our research goals
- Publish sleep statistics and survey data for Pakistan
- Study student and workforce sleep problems
- Understand how Ramadan and climate affect sleep
- Make sleep health information available in Urdu
How we keep our content trustworthy
Every article is written from trusted sources and reviewed by a member of our Medical Advisory Board. Read our Editorial Policy to learn how we work.
